March 20, 2011 — Opening Day – 4p.m. to 6p.m.

Mishnah Garden Grand Opening Sunday March 20, 2011: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
The congregation is invited to celebrate the first day of spring at the Mishnah Garden. We will begin by  preparing the beds for the new native plant (flowers and shrub) section of the garden.  Bring your shovels, gloves, and work clothes.  At 5:30 PM we invite our 7th graders and our Atid students to join us in planting our first crops—sugar snap peas, onions, and radishes.   (They will have their usual yummy dinner to follow.)

Please RSVP to Fred Pinkney at so we can get a count.  Or just show up.  This event will be canceled if there is more than a light drizzle or the ground is saturated from previous days of heavy rain.

Two kinds of potatoes for planting on the 20th have just come in. Also, you will have the opportunity to pull up some horseradish root and using a recipe handed down from the internet, process a small amount that you can store and use at your family seder.
    Hope to see you there,
    Fred Pinkney
