March 20th: Opening Day – 5th Graders planted horseradish and onions while 1st graders sang along!

Younger grades learned about planting and composting from Julie Glass and Max Brandy and sang with Danny Moss. These grades will plant vegetables and herbs in April.

At the Tu B’shvat seder, Julie Glass helped kids plant parsley seeds for Passover and then worked with Max Brandy to help young teens transplant tomato and cucumber seedlings, donated by Twin Springs Farmer’s Market, which they will nurture until Spring planting time.
