June 12th Mishnah Garden Harvest
Members of the June 12th Oneg crew gathered outside the Mishnah Garden, sang a Shehecheyanu, the blessing said to offer thanks for new and unusual experiences–and with baskets in hand, picked this week’s Adat’s Own Grown including sugar snap peas, spinach, lettuce, spring onions, and herbs. The harvest was quickly transformed into a salad that was enjoyed at the Oneg a few hours later. Oneg crews will continue to add freshly picked veggies to our Oneg table throughout the summer. Beginning in July we will begin picking veggies to donate to Manna, our local food bank. If you can help with harvesting for Manna please contact Jayme Epstein or Cheryl Kollin.
